This Weekend in Colorado Springs (11/4 - 11/6)

Fall Has Arrived!

By Tony Fleming-Brum - November 3, 2016

It’s looking like Fall has finally arrived here in Colorado Springs, and we’re in for a bit of a chilly weekend! There’s still plenty going on here in town, though!

Starting off our weekend with Friday evening (11/4), Imagination Celebration will be presenting The Magic of Bill Blagg LIVE at the Pikes Peak Center! Referred to as “Houdini Times Ten!” by NBC, Blagg’s show is packed with mind-blowing illusions, and his trademark off-the-cuff personality that makes this show a great family event!

Saturday (11/5) will be a very special day here in Colorado Springs for any veterans or supporters of our Armed Forces, as we will be hosting the 2016 Veteran’s Day Parade! One of the biggest Veteran’s Day parades in the country, they have a very simple mission: To honor all Veterans and inspire community awareness, while paying tribute to the service and sacrifices that all veterans have endured in the pursuit of freedom. This year’s parade theme will be Women in the Military, a salute to all our female soldiers proudly serving their country! Also, don’t forget about Front Range Shuttle’s Veteran’s Day Promotion, free rides for all veterans and active duty soldiers* who book with us on November 11th!!
After a rousing afternoon downtown at the Veteran’s Day Parade, Saturday evening here in Colorado Springs continues at the Pikes Peak Center once again, where the multi-platinum, Grammy nominated Goo Goo Dolls will be performing live! The Goo Goo Dolls are one of the most globally respected and influential forces in popular music, and with alternative rock band Safety Suit opening the show, this is sure to be an electrifying evening of rock music!

Sunday (11/6) here in Colorado Springs is looking like our warmest day of the weekend, so why not check out some of the local sights that make Colorado Springs such a great weekend getaway? The Garden of the Gods is beautiful in the Fall, and their visitor center has a wealth of information for any curious nature lovers. The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo also makes for a great afternoon jaunt, especially with their new Australia Walkabout and Encounter Africa exhibits. Or, if you’d rather spend your Sunday afternoon relaxing indoors, The Gold Room will be showing this week’s Broncos vs. Raiders NFL game live on their giant wall of high definition TV’s. Whatever you’re looking for, Colorado Springs has something for you!
And as always, don’t forget about Front Range Shuttle, from cozy SUV’s to 25 passenger tour buses, we have all your transportation needs covered!
