Happy Halloween from Front Range Shuttle!

By Tony Fleming-Brum - October 28, 2016

With highs projected to be in the mid/high 70's the next few days, you’re in for a treat this Halloween weekend here in Colorado Springs!

Starting off with Friday (10/28), Colorado Springs will have something creepy and fun going on for every age range! For the families with children here in town, the Pikes Peak YMCA will be hosting their annual Fall Festival; bring your friends and family for a howling good time! Come in costume and grab tons of treats, join in their unique “trunk-or-treat” village, and enjoy a variety of fun, bone-chilling activities!
For our 21+ readers, Colorado Springs will have two very entertaining Halloween events on Friday evening (10/28) to check out. #1 will be the Spooky Spirits Spectacular, a Halloween Bash & Costume Party hosted by The Gold Room. With drinks, awesome music, live performances, and prices, you’re in for a hauntingly good time.
If you’re looking for a bit of a darker, heavier Friday to start off this Halloween weekend, you may enjoy an evening at Stargazers Theatre, where America’s #1 Ozzy/Black Sabbath tribute band Sweet Leaf, will be hosted! As if that weren’t enough, joining Sweet Leaf will be Dragontown Dan, highly regarded as “The World’s Best Alive Cooper Imposter and Stage Show”. These two powerhouses are sure to kick-start your weekend with a rocking Halloween show!

Saturday morning (10/29) we start our day at the Fountain Creek Nature Center, where from 9:00 a.m. – Noon they will be hosting their annual Pumpkin Carving Party! Pumpkins carved in the morning will be displayed in the evening during their Jack-o-Lantern Trail event (Be sure to register online to reserve your pumpkin!). Have fun with arts and crafts, roasting marshmallows, and much more along the trail, and pick up the pumpkin you carved when it’s all over!
Saturday afternoon (10/29) the legend of Emma Crawford lives again in Manitou Springs; come join the festivities from Noon – 3:00 p.m. with the Emma Crawford Coffin Race & Parade! The parade begins at Noon, followed by 70 teams racing home-made coffins down Manitou Avenue for the ultimate victory! Manitou Springs, in honor of Emma Crawford, celebrates the fun and crazy event of the Emma Crawford Coffin Races annually as a part of their history to be shared with all.
Saturday evening (10/29) the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center will be hosting their Goth Glam Bash, and it’s bigger and better than ever! Unleash your dark, mysterious side; whether you’re cyber, goth, Steampunk, or anything in between, they challenge everyone to enter the most creative costume contest and win the most exclusive prizes in town!

To bring this exhilarating Halloween weekend to a close on Sunday afternoon (10/30), why not try a bit of simulated cave exploration (with a twist) with the CityRock Climbing Gym? The Cave is a highly-realistic experience created by the cavers and cave rescue specialists of CaveSim LLC, and exclusively during October, The Cave becomes a haunted horror! With kid-friendly scariness from 4-6 p.m., and adult scariness from 8-10 p.m., The Cave is a great way to bring this spooky weekend in Colorado Springs to a close.

And as always, don’t forget about Front Range Shuttle, from cozy SUV’s to 25 passenger tour buses, we have your airport transportation needs covered!
