Tuesday Morning (11/8) will be especially fun if you’re here in Colorado Springs with your children, as the Space Foundation Discovery Center
will be hosting their monthly Space Story Party
! This month’s theme will be robots, and there will be plenty of robot treats, crafts, and activities for all to enjoy. Come create and explore fun robots of all types!
Tuesday evening will be a nice chance for adults visiting the Springs to unwind at Thunder and Buttons Bar & Grill
, where they will be hosting their weekly Geeks Who Drink
trivia night! Play in teams of up to six, or by yourself if you want a real challenge. Winning teams get bar cash, street prizes, and of course, street cred among fellow Geeks who drink!
If you’re looking for something fun and free to do on Wednesday afternoon (11/9), why not pop in to see the talented young musicians from Colorado College
performing their monthly “Music @ Midday
” show? Performing in Packard Hall right on campus, both vocal and instrumental music students will put their talent on display for the public, and refreshments will be served afterwards in the lobby.
Wednesday evening should also be a very entertaining night at Front Range BBQ
, as they will be celebrating their 16th
anniversary in business! Blue Frog
will be providing live music for the evening, and of course there will be food and drink specials all night. Happy Birthday to them!
Thursday morning (11/10) bring us back to the Space Foundation Discovery Center, where they will be celebrating the first International Science Center and Science Museum Day
. Join their knowledgeable staff and learn about the impact these centers have in inspiring future explorers, and check out all their cool exhibits
Capping off our week with Thursday evening, local opera star Judeth Shay Comstock
will be teaming up with the outrageous Babette and funny man Jim Jackson for 10 action packed rounds of operatic comedy! Hosted by the Millibo Art Theatre, Babette’s Knockout Opera
is sure to tickle your ribs and get you in the mood for the fast-approaching weekend!
